iWARPUK is a Wargaming and Roleplaying Club for Gloucestershire. We get together weekly to play a wide range of tabletop games in a sociable environment.
We are an established Club and have been based in the area for over 12 years.
We have members from Cheltenham & Gloucester, but also coming from as far as Cirencester, Stroud and Tewkesbury areas.
The Club has a membership size ranging between 12 and 18 active members at one time. Our age range is also quite spread – from adults with young sons, through teenagers and college/uni students, up to the ‘very mature’.
What We Play:
The Club tends to work on a monthly rota of what games are played, changing each month to allow variation (and flexibility). We are currently have two tables running at the same time, but we have room to expand.
We are currently playing, or have recently played:
Dungeons & Dragons (both 3.5 and 4th Edition), (more info)
Pathfinder d20 (more info)
DragonAge RPG (more info)
FATE (more info)
Trail of Cthulhu (more info)
Dread (more info)
Fiasco (more info)
Hollowpoint (more info)
Traveller (more info)
Warhammer Fantasy (more info)
Scion:Hero (more info)
7th Sea (more info)
There are always ongoing discussions about what we want to play in the future, which have recently included Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer Fantasy, various World of Darkness games and others. Hopefully there is a mix of classic and contemporary games.
We also try to run the occasional one-off week of boardgames or cardgames like Arkham Horror, Munchkin, Fluxx, or Magic: The Gathering, or Zombies!!!, or Red Dragon Inn.
When & Where Do We Meet:
The Club meets on Thursday evenings at The Gala Club (Social Club) in North Gloucester.
Check out the Google Map here for address:
(Fairmile Gardens, Longford, Gloucester, GL2 9EB)
We play from approximately 7pm until 11pm.
The Gala Club has ample parking and a bar.
Local buses also run along A38 Tewkesbury road (at the mouth of Fairmile Gardens) until late.
Membership is free for the first month, so why don’t you come down & check us out! We can generally get you into a game on your first visit if you give us a little bit of warning. If you’re new to roleplaying but interested in getting started, we can help with that.
